Everyone's favorite rabbit ronin is set to join one of last year's best games.

Usagi Yojimbo will become a playable character in TMNT: Shredder's Revenge when its Dimension Shellshock DLC drops later this year. Shredder is looking to conqueror the multiverse, and it's up to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to stop him. Usagi Yojimbo will be one of the allies they recruit to fight against the foot clan. Yojimbo and the turtles have often been allies, and most recently partnered up for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles/Usagi Yojimbo: WhereWhen miniseries.

TMNT: Shredder's Revenge‘s Dimension Shellshock DLC will include a new game mode (details coming soon), additional unannounced playable characters, unlockable color palettes, and new music.

The heroes in a half shell have been on a roll lately, with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin releasing to critical acclaim last summer — so much so that an action RPG is in development based on it. Shredder's Revenge was a smash-hit when it released last year, easily clearing 1 million sales after its first week, and the TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection was a blast of nostalgia for fans not long after.

The Dimension Shellshock DLC will be available for Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It doesn't have a release date or price yet, but you can check out this totally gnarly trailer below.
