Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful (KMBB) will host a community paper shredding event to encourage waste reduction and recycling.

According to a release, the event will take place Saturday, November 9 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Theron Ussery Park in Macon.
KMBB said acceptable items include paper documents, plastic bottles, aluminum cans, clothing and accessories, kitchenware, small electrical appliances, toys, etc.
The event is being held in observance of America Recycles Day which is a Keep America Beautiful national initiative dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States.
